Our Goal
Our goal is to help you—and millions of parents like you—to inspire your children and lead them to a life-long love of books...Like you, we want our children to have full advantage of life's opportunities and help them avoid the pitfalls that limit their potential. Let us be clear: for us it is about letting a child have fun and explore their OWN potential....Do you remember your first trip to the library? Pass on the magic of your experiences with your children. Take them to the library often. There is no end to the topics you can explore and share with your child...To be sure they are enjoying the full benefit of their school library, ask them to pick out a book for you to read with them. They’ll love the independence, and, depending on their age, the opportunity to read to YOU!...Be sure that your children see you reading, too. Teach them that they can learn a lot more about current events on the Internet and in their newspapers and other periodicals. Do they like sports? Why not subscribe to a youth-oriented sports magazine.

OUR TIME Theatre Company - www.ourtimetheatre.org/
Our Time Theatre Company is an artistic home for people who stutter (PWS). Founder and Artistic Director Taro Alexander's own experiences as a PWS combined with the transformative power of theater compelled him to create Our Time. Our Time provides an environment free from ridicule where young PWS discover the joy of creating and performing original theater. .. 'I believe that if one cannot overcome the disability, then learning to live with the disability is crucial -- and what I mean by living with the disability is living with a sense of self-respect and a sure sense of one's inner voice which becomes one's outer voice. Stuttering camouflages the inner voice and truncates the expression of inner feelings -- drives one inward. The task at hand is to reverse this trend -- and what better way is there, than through the Muses of Theatre, Dance and Music, for they, by their very nature, transpose the human inner voice into a performance of meaningful outward expression.' -- Susan Roth, Speech Language Pathologist --
